The neuron is highly sensitive to sentence‐ or clause‐level discourse markers—particularly adverbs, conjunctions, and other connectives (e.g. “To,” “Again,” “Always,” “But,” “From,” “Especially,” “I,” “Can,” etc.) that tend to appear at the beginnings of sentences or clauses.
